Sprints, Super Sprints, ITU Long Distance, Olympic, Halfs, etc., etc., etc. What’s a newbie to do? Here’s a handy list to help you figure it all out:
Super Sprint: 400m Swim, 10K Ride, 2.5K Run.
Sprint: 500-750m Swim, 20K Ride, 5K Run.
Olympic or International(aka Oly or short course): 1.5K Swim, 40K Ride, 10K Run.
Half Ironman(aka HIM, Half IM, Half): 1.9K Swim, 90K Ride, 21.09K Run
Ironman (aka IM): 3.8K Swim, 180K Ride, 42.2K Run
