2013 Atlantic Coast Triathlon: The Atlantic Coast Triathlon is a premiere half-Ironman distance race in eastern Florida. The race is held in conjunction with the AmeliaMan Olympic Distance Triathlon on Fernandina Beach at Amelia Island (about 35 miles northeast of Jacksonville).
The Atlantic Coast Triathlon course is flat and fast, with a warm ocean water swim and mild temperatures making it a perfect race for your half-Ironman distance PR.
Also, that day we have the AmeliaMan Triathlon Olympic & Sprint Event. The Ameliaman Triathlon is a Fall Sprint distance triathlon event that takes place in the northeast tip of Florida.
The Sprint Triathlon consists of a 0.25 mile swim in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean from main beach in Fernandina Beach. Then a 16 mile bike ride through scenic Amelia Island on a flat and fast course and a glorious finish with a 3.1 mile out and back run.
The race is limited to 400 triathletes and will feature relay teams, so make sure to register early for this event.
Olympic Distance: The Ameliaman Olympic Distance Triathlon consists of a 1.5 Kilometer swim in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean from main beach in Fernandina Beach. Then a 40 Kilometer bike ride through scenic Amelia Island on a flat and fast course and a glorious finish with a 10 Kilometere out and back run.
The race is limited to 400 triathletes and will feature relay teams, so make sure to register early for this event.
