SLS3 Compression Socks–Initial Review

Fit and Finish:

So the sox are tall.  They reach a good ways up your calf.  Not ugly at all, but they’re not designed for looks.  The socks are very well made, good quality stitching, well formed fabric panels.  The area around your foot is sculpted to provide support to working and tired feet.

Performance:

Ok, so it’s a little hard not to go overboard here, but the bottom line is that these socks just work.  We’ve worn them during a 6 mile run and a few afternoons post run and they work very, very well.   We’ve even taken to wearing them at night because the compression really helps our feet recover.  The SLS3 Compression Sox work very in relieving pain and tenderness in our legs and calves, but our experience is that they work best for our feet.

The compression also helps to regulate temperature.  One afternoon we work these in 45 degree weather with only shorts and they kept our legs warm through the run.

We normally don’t experience cramps in our calves, so we can’t speak directly to that, but the support and relief they provide for our sore feet and legs make us a believer.

Overall:

This is just our initial review, but these socks simply work.  We’re going to continue using them as we taper to our race and will keep you updated on their performance.  Our only complaint is that we only have one pair and we have to handwash them every night.   SLS3 should consider a multi-sock discount package.
