2014 IronMan 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon:

Welcome to the 18th annual EnduraFit Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Triathlon, one of the most popular Ironman 70.3 triathlons in the country, showcasing superb logistics and the best volunteers around. Once again, this “staple” race is a qualifier for both the 2014 Ironman World Championship in Kona on October 11, 2104 (30 slots), and the 2014 Ironman Championship 70.3 in Mont-Tremblant, Québec, Canada on September 7, 2014 (40 slots).

This year’s race promises to be another great, world-class event, packed full of a stellar field of Pros from around the world and loads of excitement.

Each year, the Ironman 70.3 draws the top pros in the world.  In 2013 Andy Potts of Colorado Springs, CO, won the men’s division with a time of 3:47:36. Potts was first out of the water in 23:43, and remained among the top three competitors throughout the bike and run, finishing overall 1:15 ahead of second place finisher James Cunnama of South Africa. 31-year-old Angela Naeth of Canada won the women’s division with a time of 4:14:06, more than three minutes before second place finisher Laura Bennett of Boulder, CO, who led the pack coming out of the swim.

In 2012, and three-time Ironman World Champion, Craig “Crowie” Alexander  won the men’s division with a time of 3:44:57, overtaking the 2011 Ironman 70.3 EagleMan Champion T.J. Tollakson, who finished in 3rd place behind Greg Bennett. 34-year-old Meredith Kessler of San Francisco competed at EagleMan for the first time, and finished the Womens Champion with a time of 4:12:40, defeating the 2011 defending Champion, Mirinda Carfrae, who dropped out of the race during the bike due to an illness.
