8:30am – Monticelloman Half Triathlon – 1.2mi Swim, 56mi Bike, 13.1mi Run

9:10am – Monticelloman Olympic Triathlon – .9mi Swim, 24mi Bike, 6.2mi Run

Temperature

The average high for May is 76 degrees. The average low is 54 degrees. The average normal is 65 degrees. Lake Monticello water temperatures average in the upper 60’s for this time of year allowing for ideal wetsuit conditions. USAT wetsuit/water temperature rules will be in place on race day.

Race Timeline

Saturday, May 3rd, 2014

•     1:00pm – 5:00pm   Limited practice swimming ONLY in the designated swim area where

the swim starts!! YOU will be DISQUALIFIED PRE-RACE if you swim outside the designated         swim area. There is boat traffic and lake rules we all have to abide by.

•     1:00pm – 5:00pm   Packet Pickup opens at Lake Monticello race venue. No ID, No Race,

No Exceptions! Racers may only pick up their own packet. USAT members must also bring        their USAT card. Chip pick-up is on race day.

•     3:30pm – 4:30pm   Pre-race briefing at Lake Monticello race venue. This is recommended for

anyone new to this course.

Monticelloman Half Triathlon

•    6:30am Transition opens

•    6:45-8:00am Race day packet pickup, Chip Timing pickup & Body Marking

•    7:45am – 8:15am Swim warmups

•    8:15am Transition closes for Half participants

•    8:20am Race briefing on the beach at the swim start

•    8:30am Race start

•    2:30pm Awards presentation

Monticelloman Olympic Triathlon

•    6:30am Transition opens

•    7:30-8:40am Race Day packet pickup, Chip Timing pickup & Body Marking

•    8:35am – 8:55am Swim warmups in sectioned off area ONLY. It will be important to keep              Olympic participants separated and out of the way of Half participants on the swim course.           To emphasize this importance, any race participant swimming outside of the designated           swim warm up area will be disqualified. Please help inform fellow racers to keep anyone           from being DQ’d.

•    8:50am Transition closes (Half finishers will be entering soon and the area needs to be clear)

•    9:00am Race briefing on the beach at the swim start

•    9:10am Race start

•    1:00pm Awards presentation
